# Why is a second identity verification required?

Identity verification is required **only once** because you are entering into a contract with MANSE Émetteur and [AFS](https://www.afsgroup.nl/), our partner where you will open a securities account. By doing so, you also agree to their terms and conditions.

This identity verification (KYC), required **only once**, enables you to purchase ROYs structured as bonds, receive your annual returns, and trade ROYs on the secondary market.
